Lipida Privacy Policy

Lipida (“we”, “us”, the “App”) is a cholesterol tracker and LDL calculator that helps you record your lipid panels and understand your numbers. This policy explains what the App does and does not do with your information. We have kept it short because the App is simple and private by design.

The short version

Lipida does not collect any data. There are no accounts, no login, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. No personal data ever leaves your device, and we (the developer) collect nothing. This matches the “Data Not Collected” label on the App Store.

Your cholesterol data

• The cholesterol panels you enter — such as total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, and the values Lipida calculates from them — are stored only on your device using Apple’s SwiftData.
• This data stays on your device. It is never uploaded, transmitted, sold, or shared by the App.
• You can edit or delete the panels you have entered at any time within the App. Deleting the App removes the data stored on your device.

Apple Health

With your explicit permission, Lipida can log dietary cholesterol to Apple Health so it appears alongside the rest of your nutrition data.

• Health data is handled by iOS on your device and is governed by Apple’s own privacy protections. It is never sent to us.
• Lipida only writes the dietary cholesterol entries you choose to log. You can grant or revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings → Health.
• Lipida does not read or write serum lab values (such as your blood LDL or HDL results) to Apple Health — HealthKit has no such data type. Those values live only inside Lipida, on your device.

Notifications

Lipida can schedule local reminders (for example, to retest your lipids). These notifications are scheduled and delivered on your device by iOS. No reminder content is sent off your device.

What we collect

Nothing. Lipida does not collect, store off-device, sell, or share any personal data. The App makes no network connections for the purpose of collecting your information.

Lipida is an informational tool, not a medical device, and not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about your cholesterol, your results, and any decisions regarding your health.

Children

Lipida is not directed to children and collects no data from anyone, regardless of age.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “Last updated” date.
